This is my entry to the contest amazingnature sponsored by the amazingnature community.
Today I bring you some pictures of a small praying mantis that I found in a tree in my yard.
Praying mantises are powerful insects, they are not afraid of anything and are capable of facing other insects bigger than themselves.
Despite their appearance, they are very beneficial since they hunt other species of insects such as cockroaches, worms, beetles, flies, even small lizards. helping to keep your garden vermin free.
There are several colors, this one is yellow but there are also red, brown and green.
Although they have wings and can fly, they usually hunt, remaining immobile camouflaged between the leaves of the bushes or moving very slowly until an insect passes by, then launches itself on it with the speed of lightning.
as you can see the praying mantises are amazing insects part of our amazing nature!
