Have you been in a wilderness and just hounding the flow of the water with no certain direction? Yeah, that's what happened to us when we explore Sab-a's hidden gem. Never thought that it's gonna be a peculiar outdoor activity together with other nature adventurers.
Together let's trek along the river and let's get bewildered.
It was a lovely day, when Mam Smile chatted in our Mountaineers group chat that we'll be having a trek just right the time she reached out to us. Some declined due to some errands and good thing I am just slouching waiting for something to do. This is not my usual routine but because it's holiday that's why I got bored at home. I hurriedly said YES! to Mam Smile as I was really waiting for this moment to come! My body was holding pattern when would be our next hike. Then, probably it's the real time.
As we arrived to the river my heart was pounding with joy and my throat screaming for WOW! This was my first river trekking and I never regret this day to happen. Like hoity-toity!!! This was an awesome experience!
As we continued our river trekking, amd following the stream, I felt the need to immerse my feet on the water with my shoes on. Ooohhhh.. this was sooo cooool!! It was so cold that I wanted to always on the water. A careful motion hopping on rocks to another because I might lose my balance due to slippery rocks as well as my shoes can't grip slips already.
As we continue, saw this blue rocks impeccably amazing as it cultured water trapped on its hole. Unlike from other rocks, this was different. Seems like I saw it in Avatar world movie. Awesome!
Snuggling, drifting water! Simply seeing the wonders of nature means so much more. Feeling youthful touching it flowing. The intense love for nature grows even more as it take to other level of hike. I have been falling in love many times!
The trek would never be complete without someone falling from a slippery rocks, and that was ME!! I was just so confident that I can land safely to big rocks but to my surprise, a glide all through my butt! Ouchy! That hurts. Anyway, a lesson learned for me not to step on mossy rocks and that was a great lesson then. However, the pursuit of finding solace from nature grows.
This is a small lake we have encountered and most probably the biggest pool we saw from the stream we were following.
Body of water! Every now and then of our trip, we saw some pools but others were free flowing from the river. The emerald green water seems inviting like I wanted to immerse for the mean time just to cool us down from the humidity. But none of us took extra clothes. Maybe the next time around.
Luke and Mat tried to show us how legit were the stones grip our broken or dissolving shoesπ.
This was one of a kind adventure of us hike buddies. Learning to appreciate our nature, preserve what we have to preserve, and leave no trace ALWAYS.
I guess that's all for our nature adventure. Hope you enjoy our virtual river trekking. Good bye and have a great day!
