Many species of reptiles are found in Bangladesh. However, these animals are more common in rural areas. Common garden skinks can be seen in the bushes of rural areas or in the piles of garbage or around the house. This reptile is most common in rural areas.
It is a reptile. It can often look like a baby crocodile. Many people make this kind of mistake many times. Again, many times it looks like a snake when you see the head part. But when you see its legs, that doubt is removed.
It is known in our area as Achilla or Angela. However, in some areas it is called by a different name. In many regions it is called Argina. This amphibian is known locally as Anjan, Snake Mole, Snake Stick.
It is a few centimeters long to see. The head part is quite wide and looks a lot like a snake's head. The middle part is quite wide i.e. the middle part is quite wide and the tail is very thin and elongated. These four legs can be seen. It can be seen moving on its feet. It moves a lot like a crocodile. The upper part of the body is brown to gray. There are various spots and spots on the back and sides.
some superstitions prevalent in rural areas
There is no end to the superstitions in rural areas about this animal. I have heard from childhood that she is called the aunt of the snake. If someone hit her, she would tell the snake about the injury and the snake would come and bite the person who had hit the animal.
Also, many people in rural areas say that once an animal bites someone, it does not bite easily but when it bites someone then it take long time. That is, when it bites, it bites for a long time. Even its bite is very poisonous. Its bite can cause people to die instantly. But I have never heard of a person being bitten or killed by it.
Many more such superstitions are involved in rural areas. However, this animal is now on the verge of extinction as it used to be. This is because it is on the verge of extinction due to declining or clearing. However, a few days ago, when I was walking along the road, I saw a scene sitting on a branch of a tree. Zooming in was a bit of a hassle for me as I was a little far away. Moreover, I am not a professional photographer so I have clearly failed to do some photography.
