Hello Hivers, I am a specie of the lizard family, call me Agama lizard.
Humans think they know it all because they are everything more than us, hence they fail to see just how much lessons they stand to gain if they pay attention to our behaviors and activities and learn from them. I am in a good mood today, therefore I am ready to share with you a peculiar part of us Agamas that is worthy of imitation.
After observing carefully the distance between the two rocks, I am starting have a rethink. The jump is a long one, what if I break my leg? Or my tail? But then if I want to get something to eat, I have to get to the other side. Against all odds and with full determination I take the leap and jump. Then I landed safely and balanced on the other side of the Rock. I look to the left and look to the right, seeing no one to compliment me for the perfect jump; I nod my head 3 times telling myself "I did well, it was not easy but I pulled it off". Yes, I give myself pats on the back.
Humans do extraordinary things every now and then, but why do they always seek for compliments? And then when none is forthcoming they think the value of what they have done is eroded. Appreciate yourself first before anything. Don't wait for validation from others, you know you have done really well so thank yourself for it. Don't wait for compliments which you might never even get, then allow it to dampen your achievement. Don't rely on other's affirmations before you celebrate yourself. Others might make the world a little hard for you, don't do the same to yourself.
If you don't have your own back, no one will.
Have you done well in an exam? Nod your head 3 times and compliment yourself.
Have you just achieved a huge goal for yourself? Pat your own back for a job well done.
The more you do this the less you are influenced by actions of others even generally.
Nod your head 3 times...
