Capybaras eat a mix of aquatic vegetation, grasses, barks, tubers, sugar cane and plant roots. Fruit are sweet treats for them :) They need to eat a lot because they have a limited ability to store fat in their bodies.

Yes, they are prey 😭 to caiman, large cats like jaguar and reptiles. Nevertheless they like to take an alligator for a nice ride on the river😎
