Hello, everyone!
I was watching butterflies during a recent walk.
I am not sure, but I think it is a butterfly of the Cabbage Butterfly or Cabbage White. It is a daytime butterfly of this family.
The moth's flight time is from April to mid-October. The butterflies are active during the daytime, especially on hot sunny days. The day was very hot. Before laying eggs, the butterflies need additional nourishment from flower nectar. Several butterflies fluttered over the flowers. Apparently they are in mating season.
The butterflies seem so cute in flight. But their offspring are voracious caterpillars! The caterpillars ate the broccoli leaves I planted.
Metamorphosis.
Amazing transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly.
