Hello my loving nature lovers,
How are you guys? I hope you are healthy during this difficult time. It is raining heavily in our country these days. Some areas have been flooded and many people have been affected by the floods. Meanwhile, property damage as well as loss of life will be heard. However, trees and vines are an object of nature that is fresh with rain. With the onset of rains, intercrops in our backyard have also started to grow. Today's content is going to give you information about that.
We in Sri Lanka have long been tempted to add leaves to our diet. Accordingly, women are more inclined to plant leaves in any garden. On the one hand, growing these leaves in the backyard can add freshness to the diet and provide more nutritious food. The leaves in the photo above, which Sri Lankans call Gotukola, grow at least a few places in our backyard. Rich in nutrients, this herb can be prepared as a salad without boiling and can be of great benefit to the body.
I do not even know the name of the above type of leaf in our mother tongue. However, there are no words to describe the delicious salad of these leaves that our mother prepares as a sambal. It’s so interesting. This salad is very tasty when you add the mackerel, red onion, chili powder and green chillies.
The above type of leaf, also known as 'Mukunuwenna' by Sri Lankans, is a species of plant that grows as a shrub in moist soil. These leaves can be chopped into small pieces and added to salads or boiled dishes. This is also a type of leaf that is high in nutrients. Most lunches include Mukunuwenna leaves.
I do not want to introduce you to strangers. Most people in the world are familiar with spinach. There are about 10 spinach plants in our garden. They are grown to prepare food at the right time.
Curry leaves are used to flavor food. Curry leaves are one of the most suitable leaves for snake venom. Snake venom can be cured by drinking curry leaves, especially porridge.
Eggplant is the smallest vegetable plant in the genus Tibbatu. We have two plants of this type in our garden. It is very tasty when seasoned with spices.
We have a variety of black pepper varieties in our backyard that we use to enhance the spiciness of the food we prepare in the kitchen, and grow successfully. The natural compost manure used by our parents is a great help for that.
They know how to cultivate successfully, especially in small spaces. The most important thing is a nutritious harvest with good maintenance. Thanks for visiting. See you again with valuable content.
