Hola amigos amantes de las plantas y la naturaleza, llevaba tiempo sin compartir contenido en esta comunidad y hoy he decidido traerles este post sobre el culantro, una hierba muy utilizada en la cocina y que puede conseguirse de manera silvestre, además, aprovecho para mostrarles las que tengo en casa que son muchas y muy lindas.
Hello friends of plants and nature, I have not shared content in this community for a long time and today I decided to bring you this post about coriander, an herb widely used in the kitchen and that you can get in the wild, also, I take the opportunity to show you what I have at home that they are many and very beautiful.

El culantro es una hierba aromática de hojas verdes y largas con orillas dentadas de sabor y aroma fuerte, también se le conoce bajo el nombre de “coriander” pero la manera más común de llamarlo es culantro y es originaria de América.
Cilantro is an aromatic herb with long green leaves with serrated edges with a strong flavor and aroma, it is also known under the name of “coriander” but the most common way of calling it is coriander and it is native to America.
Esta hierba es muy utilizada en la cocina caribeña ya que le otorga un muy buen sabor a cualquier tipo de comida, desde un arroz hasta una carne o pollo en cualquiera de sus presentaciones, también es muy utilizada en países asiáticos como Tailandia y Vietnam. Uno de los países que más da uso al culantro en la cocina es Puerto Rico, ya que predomina en los marinados para canes y pollo y a su vez es un excelente condimento para cualquier comida.
This herb is widely used in Caribbean cuisine as it gives a very good flavor to any type of food, from rice to meat or chicken in any of its presentations, it is also widely used in Asian countries such as Thailand and Vietnam. One of the countries that most uses coriander in the kitchen is Puerto Rico, since it predominates in marinades for dogs and chicken and is also an excellent condiment for any meal.
El culantro puede pasar desapercibido entre otras hierbas e incluso la maleza, sin embargo, debido a la forma de sus hojas y el fuerte aroma que desprenden al tocarlas es fácil de identificar.
Coriander can go unnoticed among other herbs and even weeds, however, due to the shape of its leaves and the strong aroma they give off when touched, it is easy to identify.
El culantro no solo suele utilizarse en la comida sino que también tiene usos medicinales debido a los beneficios que proporciona, ayuda con las afecciones respiratorias como el asma y con problemas estomacales, es fuente de muchas vitaminas como A, B1,B2 Y C además de hierro y calcio.
Coriander is not only usually used in food but also has medicinal uses due to the benefits it provides, it helps with respiratory conditions such as asthma and stomach problems, it is a source of many vitamins such as A, B1, B2 and C in addition to iron and calcium.
Cultivar el culantro es muy fácil, ya que solo se requiere de sus semillas las cuales proporciona la misma planta y deben usarse cuando son de color negro, no es necesario enterrarlas, basta con colocarlas en la tierra y regar con agua, en mi caso nunca tuve que sembrar culantro, siempre han nacido de esta forma y es muy efectiva, además es una planta que no necesita de cuidados especiales ya que es muy resistente a cualquier tipo de ambiente y aun cuando no se riega es capaz de mantenerse en pie y muy verde.
Cultivating coriander is very easy, since it only requires its seeds which are provided by the same plant and must be used when they are black, it is not necessary to bury them, just place them in the ground and water with water, in my case never I had to sow coriander, they have always been born this way and it is very effective, it is also a plant that does not need special care since it is very resistant to any type of environment and even when it is not watered it is able to stay upright and very green.
