Greetings dear friends of Amazing nature, it is a great pleasure to greet you on this day, I hope you are very well nature lovers, this time I will share some photographs of this little animal which caught my attention because of the fluorescent colors it had.
Hace unos días al despertar y abrir mi ventana veo a través de ella, algo con colores negro, con unas rayas fluorescentes verdes y anaranjado, de momento pensé que era como especie de hongo la cual creció en ese tronco en la cerca de la casa, así que inmediatamente me acerque y se movió, entonces me di cuenta que era una especie de gusano, si les doy sincera, es la primera vez que veía este animalito así que investigue un poco de él, para ver qué era.
A few days ago when I woke up and opened my window, I saw through it something with black colors, with green and orange fluorescent stripes, at the moment I thought it was some kind of fungus which grew on that trunk on the fence of the house, so I immediately got closer and it moved, then I realized it was some kind of worm, if I'm honest, it's the first time I've seen this little animal so I did some research on it to see what it was.
Al leer un poco, ví que es una oruga de una polilla conocida científicamente como Pseudosphinx tetrio, los colores vistosos de la oruga lo hacen muy tóxica, la cual es su forma de defenderse, sobre todo con la colita que tiene en la parte trasera, también conocí que la llaman glotona, ya que come mucho y puede acabar con las hojas de una planta muy rápido.
When I read a bit, I saw that it is a caterpillar of a moth known scientifically as Pseudosphinx tetrio, the showy colors of the caterpillar make it very toxic, which is its way of defending itself, especially with the tail it has on the back. I also learned that they call it a glutton, since it eats a lot and can destroy the leaves of a plant very quickly.
Ellas están en conjunto, estuve buscando en los árboles cercanos y no pude visualizar en dónde se encontraban las demás, pero supongo que estaban cerca, ya tendrán dónde transformarse en esa polilla.
They are together, I was looking in the nearby trees and I couldn't see where the others were, but I suppose they were close, they will have somewhere to transform into that moth.
