Who cannot dare to embrace this colorful and wonderful scene along the coast that will linger in the memory album? The white sand, the vast shoreline, the breathtaking boundless scene of the blue sky stretching toward the crystal-clear water, and the joy of looking at the Filipinos enjoying the sea's abundance.
In this yuletide season, we have decided to go to Anapog, San Remegio, Cebu to eat the craved sea urchin. My cousins loved this and I'm a little bit excited about eating this as a raw. To others, this is a delicacy but for them, they prefer to eat it fresh.
Since we arrived earlier, I was having fun on a coastal trek. This will make my day more blissful and contented if I can reconnect myself with nature. I'm so proud to share with you my relaxing walk, full of discoveries and enjoyment that is worth sharing. I found solace during this coastal stroll.
I spotted these fishermen enjoying the abundance of the sea. And on the other side of it, another set of fishermen whom we were waiting for our sea urchin order.
I didn't waste my time reconnecting with this amazing coastal scene. The tranquillity of the place has led me to good vibes that are beneficial to me.
The shade of this huge tree is such a relaxing spot where people can sit, talk, and enjoy the silence of the sea. The therapeutic effect of the sand is truly alluring and they love to keep on doing it.
After a 2-hour of waiting, our orders arrived. The sea urchins were placed on two pails enough to satisfy our hunger. They are very fresh and healthy. They made my cousins' mouth water.
Filipinos as we are, the cowboy attitude is always practiced. We placed the sea urchins on the plastic, with a basin of seawater where we will wash them after peeling.
We are cautious in handling the sea urchins due to their spines. We located where is the mouth side for it to be opened easily.
Upon seeing the yellowish flesh, we carefully removed the sand seen inside, washed it with the seawater, and scooped out the flesh with the aid of our fingers. Then eat them. The taste is a little bit sweet, creamy and briny flavor.
As we embrace nature's bounty, the experience that we have as a family on this day is worthy. It led us to a harmonious bond that fosters a strong unity and harmony with amazing nature.
