When I saw what has decided to challenge us with this week theme, I thought to myself - no chance I can find wildlife tracks. During the week I am busy in the office and when I am back home it is dark already. The trouble is that now we are so busy that I don't have time to go out at lunch time and look around the office.
However, the weather has other plans and we were covered with snow for few days. In the morning I was looking at the ground to see any tracks but alas, nothing. The grass was covered with thick layer of snow, flat and untouched. Until today. I was off and just having couple of minutes to catch the van I saw little bird tracks in the snow. All I had was my phone and the photos aren't good enough.
These tracks are definitely left by a small bird, but if you ask me what kind of bird, hardly I can tell. There are sparrows always hanging around and this would be my guess. But yesterday I saw robin among the sparrows. So, who knows, it can be the robin or even some other bird. Frankly I have never paid attention on birds tracks.
Whatever the bird was, it was hopping on the snow, that's what I can tell of what I see.
So, this is my entry to the Amazing Nature Thematic Contest. I could not tell what kind of bird 1has been hopping on the snow, but it is amazing how they survive during the freezing cold weather. Sometimes it feels they are gone and hiding and then the tracks appeared. Probanly the bird or birds were searching for food, the snow was melting and soon these tracks will disappear.
Thank you for viewing.
