From time to time we see sea lions at the Antofagasta Port (Chile). This is a commercial port used by cargo ships all time, so it is not the normal environment for these sea mammals. The photos of this post show this contrast. It is interesting to see how the nature adapts to the changes made by the human beings in the environment. This port is an industrial place, it is noisy and polluted, so it is not a place where we expect to find sea lions.
Notice that the animals are on a floating platform (and taking a nap), which is elevated with respect to the sea level. One wonder how the sea lions claimed it, taking in consideration that they are quite heavy.
The photos were taken by myself using the camera of a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, using the lenses 10x and 3x, since the sea lions were quite far from the place I was standing. I also share the images in black and white. The edition was done in Gimp.
Es frecuente ver lobos marinos en el puerto mercante de Antofagasta (Chile), donde comparten espacio con los buques mercantes, tal como lo muestran las fotografías que acompañan esta publicación. Es realmente interesante ver como la naturaleza se adapta a los cambios que introduce el ser humano en el medio ambiente. Un puerto mercante es un lugar eminentemente industrial, ruidoso y con contaminación. Por lo que llama la atención ver estos animales salvajes ahí, y reposando ( se puede decir que durmiendo la siesta) sobre una plataforma flotante.
Observen lo elevado que está la plataforma sobre el nivel del mar, uno se pregunta cómo subieron los lobos marinos hasta ahí, vale la pena destacar que estos mamíferos acuáticos son bastante pesados.
Las fotografías fueron tomadas con la cámara de un Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, usando los lentes de 10x y 3x, ya que los animales estaban bastante lejos de donde me encontraba ubicado. También comparto las imágenes en blanco y negro. La edición fue hecha en Gimp.
