When we see something that we like, I plant it and here's the result.
They were laying on a heap that somebody discarded, so we picked them up and put them in the boot of our car.
I planted them and surprisingly 3 days later they started to flower.
So I asked Mrs. Google what they are and she reckons that they are Red Bromelias.
I have been watching the progress of the flowers and they are a lovely addition to a section of our garden. Instinct told me to plant them in semi shade with dappled sunlight.
Come and see.
Someone threw them away and I laid them out in the rocky strip. You can see that they had no flowers, but we liked the leaf structure.
So I planted them and one morning this red flower appeared.
Just look at this lovely sight.
Gradually they started forming and we were happy to see them grow.
They are at this stage right now in a matter of a week after I planted them and we are looking forward to it's final stage.
I think that they will look lovely in a vase next to our Protea flowers.
Mother nature has a lovely way to show us her treasures and it's always a delight to see how a beautiful plant develops it's flowers. We have never had Bromelia flowers before and I saw that they also come in other colors.
It certainly puts up a lovely show in our garden and we will keep an eye out to get the other colors.
Life is what it is and it's up to us what we make of it. It can be a driven life or for lack of a word, a rushed life, or it can be a calm and serene life. For a long time I have struggled with the first until it dawned upon me that nature can show me the true way of life. A new appreciation of the beauties set in and my life changed. Best of all it's all free.
And That's All Friends.
