Some call us "bleeding hearts" simply because we care about all life.
But if there were no people that care, then this world would be in even deeper trouble.
NOTE: This post is not for sensitive viewers!
There is a time to laugh and a time to cry, so every time that we see a young dead animal it brings tears to our hearts.
Many hate moles and other animals that are called "pests", but they don't stop to ask the question. "Then why were moles and pests created" ?
Were they created to destroy our wonderful lawns and gardens?
Or did we with our great developments intrude into their territories?
So we hound and kill them until they become extinct and this also goes for other animals such as apes, monkeys and many others.
I found him early in the morning and he was a youngster.
Amazingly the same thing also took place last year at the start of the Spring season and it seems that they come here to our home to die.
Of course we have no poisons here.
A little life that was sadly ended abruptly.
So I placed him gently back into the hole that he came out of.
The sky was dreary and dark bringing even more sadness to my heart.
And then as usual I buried the little guy, as I have buried so many other little animals.
Imagine finding a small reed buck poisoned and dead, or a young Jackal Buzzard, or for that matter even a young eagle, their lives ended by the actions of man for trespassing or other reasons.
The cute little ant eaters (Pangolin) killed and traded for their scabs and meat. Rhino moms killed for their horns and their calves dying of hunger. Elephants poisoned to get their ivory tusks. Crocodiles killed for their heads, skins and teeth. Even donkeys skinned alive and their skins sold to the illegal wildlife trade. Lions bred in cages for the trophy hunters.
I can go and on, but it only saddens me even more when I think about the attrocities of mankind.
We take solace in the reading that one day the lion and the lamb will lay down together in peace.
Apologies for the rare sad post, but if we close our eyes to the abuses that take place around us, then we live in a bubble.
And That's All Friends!

There are many others here on Hive that care as much as we do and we thank you for your hearts.
