This was the scene on our way to a nature reserve today. A cloud was smashed into the mountains by the wind and subsequently streamed over the mountains.
Of course the winds from the ocean side were waiting and soon they placed their forces on attack against the incoming wind.
Opposing forces clashing and creating a tumbling effect.
A cloud man with outstretched arms was trying to catch the incoming wind and the cloud bird above him was also using his wings in an attempt to stop the fight.
But no good as the cloud man was tumbled and the cloud bird was lifted up to his doom.
In the meantime the wind behind the mountains has split his forces into the famous 3 pronged attack. Two flanks protecting the central force.
Yes, the light didn't look very promising for photo taking, but I got lucky and and took some nice bird shots here.
The winds were a big problem and I will show you a mini cyclone on the dam water in another post. It even splattered us with some water drops. The winds were painting the skies with the clouds and by this time tomorrow the skies will be black and we will be soaking.
Oh, and of course the first real cold front will make it's landing tomorrow morning and we will go down to 12C.
All that I am waiting for is snow on the mountains.
And That's All Friends!
