No, this is not sunset, but rather sunrise and I will show you some magic in the skies.
I had to show you these pictures as sunrise looked like sunset yesterday. We had a cold front coming in and I was out early to see the effect of the clouds. They were driven by high winds and the clouds were shaped by the cross winds.
Come and have a look.
Pity about the lamp posts, as if I had an editing program I could remove them, but I think that this looks more natural.
Finally we exit the sunrise part with this later shot.
The sun halo told us the strength of the storm, as the halo was not so bright, meaning that it will only be a light storm.
Right, now here we go into the sunset and you can see how the wind chased the clouds.
The scenes were constantly changing as the clouds whirled around like a maelstrom.
Beautiful to watch, but it was too dark to take a video.
So yes, that was yesterday and since then the storm has subsided and my reading of the sun halo was correct.
Here is our moon that I took at midnight.
The moon will be full tomorrow night 2021/5/26 (Wednesday) and by the strange color of this one, I could see that the Super moon tag would suit it when it is full.
We can only hope that the sky will be clear, or at least that there will be gaps in the clouds, so that I can get a decent shot of the moon. So yes, I will be watching the sky with an eagle eye.
And That's All Friends!
Note: All photos are my own and taken with a Canon Powershot SX60HS Bridge camera.
We hope you have enjoyed the story and the pictures.
