Hellow all Hivers look how happy I am and I want to tell you a story today.
A great surprise that made us very happy to see and maybe the start of a new family.
Zac and Marian think about their squirrel family with longing hearts every day, as they had to leave them behind to move to a new place. So, I spoke to my squirrel friends and we decided to send an explorer as we heard that they have granadilla fences at their new house.
Let's see if it is true.
Yay! The first for us to see a squirrel in the front garden of our new place.
We left some ripe granadillas on the ground near our flowerpots, as we now live next to a river and I was hoping to attract a possible mongoose visitor.
But no mongoose as somebody else appeared to take an interest.
This little squirrel thought to do something better with my idea.
He grabbed the granadilla, popped up onto a wooden beam that you saw in the photos above to jump down into a small tree. Then he dropped the granadilla into an old bird nest. Presumably to hide it from other squirrels.
He looked at me as I was taking the shots through the study window.
Say man, please leave some nuts around for my next visit.
And then he was gone. So yes, we will most certainly put some nuts out for him in a safe place where the doves can't get to it.
Maybe it is the start of a new family and time will tell so we will just continue to place the ripe granadillas on the floor between the flowerpots.
In a future post I will show you the benefit of having granadilla fences at a house, as they are alive with little birds.
Don't believe me? Look if you can see the two birds in this photo?
All that it takes is patience and a good vantage spot, such as a study window.
Note! Today we will be going down to another of the coastal towns and let's hope that I can get some good shots.
I hope that you have enjoyed the story and the pictures.
And That's All Friends.
