Here was the warning Halo signal and I want you to meet the terrible South Easter storm wind known as The Cape Doctor.
Best is to stay inside when this tree uprooting wind blows.
Yes, it can wreck forests and tip huge goods trucks over and have even been known to blow cars off mountain passes and highways.
A wind that has sunk many ships on the Cape coastline and yet, it can also save as it stemmed the recent destructive fire that we had over here.
So, I will show you some results of this wind.
Can you believe that there is a huge mountain inside that wind driven cloud?
This was the sight later in the afternoon.
Even the doves could only make short hurried flights.
Here is another shot of the morning sign as the wind started to pin the Palm tree's hair back.
Strange cloud streaks appeared chased by the wind.
Finally, late afternoon the wind withdrew itself.
The fire fighters won the battle against the fire overnight and today it was a beautiful hot wind still day.
There are amazing weather appearances here, but very little can hold a candle to the strength of that South Easter wind.
It can undress a person and I am glad that I don't wear a wig, else I would have to go and search for it in the ocean.
And That's All Friends!
Note: All photos are my own and taken with a Canon Powershot SX60HS Bridge camera.
We hope that you have enjoyed the pictures of the South Easter.
