A new young one studying the area closely!
But what is she holding in her left paw?
Greetings to all of my fellow Hive owners!
Today I will show you some squirrel action by some of the new youngsters in our garden
Come and enjoy the show with us!
Ah! She wanted to see if I would take her nut!
Two new ones on the palm tree trunk here!
They say that the Lion and the Lamb will lay together in peace, so will the squirrel and the dove!
Look at those cheeks, filled with nuts and another nut that this one is going to "plant" in our garden!
This little guy decided to to eat on the tree stump!
Look above the terracotta color pot!
Here's a closer look at him in the picture below!
Here we have two doing their thing at the front near the palm.
Alarm! Alarm! Achtung! Look carefully as you will see 4 squirrels here scattering to the safety of the trees!
Here's the reason for the alarm call by the crows, a falcon scouting for prey!
So how many new squirrels do we have?
At this stage, your guess is as good as mine, as I saw four, but that cannot be as there were two at the front, so then it must be 6? Some other youngsters are due to arrive over the next few weeks when they leave the nest to eat on their own.
And then there are the old existing crowd, so we might end up with about 20 squirrels in the garden.
We are also expecting "Squirry" back to climb all over us again, as she must have almost weaned her new litter by now.
So yes, there's a lot of fun here at our squirrel cottage!
And That's All Friends!
Something here to think about!
