Apreciados amigos ☕
¡Gracias!
Dear friends ☕
In a quiet #SublimeSunday and #BeautifulSunday this winged friend comes to me. Without being able to reject her, I treat her as someone who feels safe holding my hand deserves. The initial thing is a first shot with my camera and then all the others followed. She, pleased, posed for my lens and did not feel like running away. It seemed she felt comfortable, safe and secure, rather than considering me a danger. Perhaps he sensed that it wouldn't hurt him. She thanked me and I thanked her. It was a mutual...
I cannot reject it even if for many people it is a bad omen and they also consider it an unpleasant moth. But this is far from the truth as she is not a pest, although several of her relatives are taken as moths instead of butterflies. In fact, there is a confusion in the differences between diurnal and nocturnal butterflies.
We mistakenly say moths to these nocturnal butterflies, because we give the word moth a connotation of plague and not all of them are.
¡Gracias! Club de Guías Mayores.
I tell you that as a teenager I belonged to a group of young people, explorers type, which allowed me to know a little about moths. This I did not completely forget. Thank you! Senior Guides Club.
But are they or aren't they moths?
Well yes and no. Turns out these flying insects are actually moths, just commonly referred to as moths for being small. But this one that I show you, is only confused with the moths that if they destroy our furniture, food, clothes, among other things, and of course not to mention the paper. However, our protagonist is not a devastating plague. She arrives looking for the lights and flutters incessantly or perches motionless near where the light emanates. We've all had them at home!
If you did not know, the nocturnal butterflies are Lepidoptera that do not have a taxonomic class but belong to the group of Heteróceros. His night owl life seems tireless and is not harmful.
Another important fact is that that silky fluff that it releases when we touch them, are actually scales that cover its body and wings. These give it that soft, very plush appearance, like velvet. In addition, they are excellent for camouflage that allows you to protect yourself from enemies. That is why we can see a great diversity of them in different tones and colors.
Here we see her in a resting position. Peacefully resting in my hand and that was wonderful to me.
That's right, chubby or plump, soft and delicate, although most do not want them.
As this encounter happened in the kitchen, then he perched on a teaspoon to change location and gave me again a perfect photo opportunity.
Finally she decided to calmly contemplate the outside world.
Sure that I was protected in my house it was like saying ... Safe without danger Thank you!
Friends, when we hear the word moth it causes us rejection, but remember that not all of them are something that eats, destroys and ruins the house. We must identify those harmful, such as those mentioned by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount. Do you remember this phrase in the Bible? "... Where moth and rust corrupt ..." Matthew 6:19. Well, one of those if you have to take care of yourself.
I hope it was useful for you to share my photo gallery that this night butterfly kindly gave me.
