Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!
I cannot believe I did it again. I have been skipping this series for weeks again as my last contribution to this series is already one month old. Sorry about that. I will try to come up with a new video post at least once every two weeks. We will see how it goes. Anyway, here is my latest contribution :)
The video itself is actually not new. I took it a couple of years ago during my first stay on the Tenerife Island, one of the Canary Islands that are a part of Spain. As far as I remember, it was late January or early February but it was very warm and sunny down there on the southern coast of the island and I went for what I thought would be a little hike around the nearby hills. Now why is the location on the island so important that I even included it in the title of the post? Well, because the southern and the northern parts of the island are like two different worlds. Southern Tenerife is usually sunny, hot, dry, arid, mostly barren and kind of flat. Unlike Northern Tenerife which is colder, humid, rainy but also very lush, green and mountainous.
When I came to the island for the first time, I didn´t really know much about it and I spent the first few days in the south, although nature lovers like me would definitely be happier in the north for the reasons that I just mentioned. Still, however, I enjoyed the hike that eventually took me almost the whole day. Originally, I also planned to climb up to the top of the "table mountain" that you can see in the video below and in one of the photos above but I actually never made it there, it was much farther than it appeared! :D
I hope you enjoyed the video. I am sorry about the quality of it and of the photos too though. Back then, I had a crappy old phone the camera of which quite sucked but I still want to have the video here on my blog as a memory of that cool hike.
Thanks for your attention and I will see you in the next episode of my Video Wednesday series :)
