Greetings friends of Hive. This is the wonderful nature that I have been able to visit recently. A spectacular mountain and with these pictures I want to participate in this first Amazyn Nature Contest of the year
La naturaleza exuberante llena de interrelaciones entre las especies, me maravilla cada vez que tengo la oportunidad de visitar y caminar esta hermosa e imponente montaña, que se llama El Avila pero que los antiguos habitantes del Valle de Caracas llamaban Waraira-repano. Fue decretado Parque Nacional para proteger la fauna y la flora que allí habita.
The exuberant nature full of interrelationships between species, marvels me every time I have the opportunity to visit and walk this beautiful and imposing mountain, which is called El Avila but the ancient inhabitants of the Caracas Valley called Waraira-repano. It was decreed a National Park to protect the fauna and flora that lives there.
Caminado por los senderos y subiendo la montaña a veces por rutas poco transitadas se puede llegar hasta lugares maravillosos. Claro, siempre hay que tener el cuidado de no perderse entre la abundante vegetación.
Walking along the trails and climbing the mountain, sometimes through little-traveled routes, you can reach wonderful places. Of course, you always have to be careful not to get lost in the abundant vegetation.
Esta ruta que seguimos nos llevó a una caída de agua muy fría que entre grandes rocas va bajando por la montaña. El agua es fría pero provoca bañarse en ella.
This route that we followed led us to a very cold waterfall that descends down the mountain between large rocks. The water is cold but it is inviting to bathe in it.
Grandes árboles con raíces que se sostienen de las rocas que afloran sobre el suelo, son además el sustrato de muchas plantas epifitas, trepadoras y a veces una que otra parasita que viven de ellas.
Large trees with roots that hold on to the rocks that outcrop on the ground, are also the substrate of many epiphytes, climbers and sometimes one or another parasite that live on them.
La luz del sol que llega a los estratos más bajos atravesando el dosel de las grandes copas, es la fuente de vida de las plantas de pequeño porte y flores diminutas, pero también hermosas.
The sunlight that reaches the lower strata through the canopy of the large canopies, is the source of life of small plants and tiny flowers, but also beautiful.
Cada especie se adapta a su ambiente y eso es lo maravilloso, se puede observar y admirar una gran variabilidad de plantas con formas diferentes, las que vive bajo sombra con hojas muy grandes para captar mejor la luz solar y las que crecen sobre los troncos secos y la hojarasca aprovechando la materia orgánica en descomposición.
Each species adapts to its environment and that is the wonderful thing, you can observe and admire a great variability of plants with different shapes, those that live in the shade with very large leaves to better capture sunlight and those that grow on dry trunks and leaf litter taking advantage of decomposing organic matter.
Acá nada se pierde, todo se incorpora al ciclo de la vida
Here nothing is lost, everything is incorporated into the cycle of life.
