Nearly 1000 schools were shut today in Queensland.
A record flooding started to affect northern NSW, the cities of Lismore and mullumbinby are under water. Roads are closed and residents were told is too late to leave, just search for a higher area.
Here in Southport we got a little but of sun in the afternoon, but the rain is back.
The rainwater pipes are not coping with it and the water pressure are so intense that is lifting that heavy lid


The humidity was so high, probably 100% today that we could see the steam coming up from the ground at 11am - 27 degrees Celsius
