Today, #ThursdayTreeLove, I bring you a beautiful and hardy fruit tree the Mangifera indica, native to Asia, popularly known as mango tree or mango bush, very common and appreciated in my country, for its delicious fruits, and the various benefits it provides, among them one of the most precious in this tropical climate, the hospitable shade offered by its leafy branches.
It usually grows from 10 to 40 metres high, with a wide canopy proportional to its size. Its predominant and most frequent colour is green, but sometimes it surprises us with bright shades of brown or bronze, like soft brushstrokes creating contrast between its leaves and flowers.
This beautiful colour, not common in our vegetation, stands out among its green leaves and as a delicate decoration in its foliage, for this reason I share it with you in this publication.
The shade it offers, because of the dense ceiling formed by many branches, it is a meeting place for conversations, games, rest and even parties.
It is common to find this tree in homes, public places, wild places and fields, it develops easily and with little care, being very generous in the production of fruits, its leaves have medicinal uses and the wood is also used in the manufacture of products.
Looking at the sky through the branches with their bronze and green leaves is a wonderful sight and relaxing.
The leaves are beautiful, their shape, colour and design ..... have marked edges and long green petioles of about 10 to 15 cm, which in turn give rise to small branches or veins that resemble an intricate network drawn with masterly care.
The leaves show an intricate network created with masterly care.
When they are in the development period, the leaves can have different shades of brown or copper, standing out among the green leaves. We are fortunate to enjoy them now!
One of the most popular uses of mango tree leaves in Venezuela is in compresses for pain from impacts or falls, and they are indeed effective.
Its pyramid-shaped inflorescences grow in ramifications with hundreds of flowers on each one.
They combine pink, yellow, orange, orange and green tones, arising among the jovial and graceful branches.
And the fruits are known for their delicious taste and smell, they can be eaten ripe or green in different forms or preparations, desserts, juices, sauces, they are very versatile and nutritious. They are grown all year round.
I remember as a child how much fun it was to watch the mangoes in the bush in their ripening period to climb up and grab them....or to try to shake the trunk so they would fall and pick them....competing with my sisters or friends....and then to eat mangoes, delicious !
Thank you for your visit to my blog, I remain a while sitting under the shade of this tree thanking the blessing of life, rejoicing in the silence and tranquility of this beautiful day.
