I took a walk out in the forest this morning and spotted a coyote in the shade of the forest.
I heard a rustling in the underbrush and saw a young coyote chasing a squirrel. Sadly my zoom lens does horribly in shady early morning forests lol.
Pretty much all my photos ended up with a slight blur on them. I even tried the shake blur tool in photoshp to fix it but alas it was too dark in the forest for my zoom lens.
The coyote kept looking at me hearing the click of my camera. he didn't seem too concerned about me as he was looking for some rodent breakfast.
As he ran off up the hill for another squirrel he did one last look back. I may try and go back to this area when it's brighter in the day for better lighting.
Farther on down the pathway there was a stagnant little pond area with lots of duckweed and piles of turtles on every log.
In the early morning sun the turtles look like silhouetted strange bumps on the log. I must have counted at least 80 in this tiny pond.
This was one of the few turtle I could aim my camera at that wasn't against the sunlight. I suspect these guys are painted turtles.
They were all thickly coated in duckweed.
A few tiny babies were wading around in the muck. This little guy was only around 4 inches long or so.
