I have been wanting to post these pictures I took recently mainly because doing so will take me back to the day and time when I experienced so much joy living these moments. It wasn't very long ago that I took these pictures, it was just last week I visited the botanical park for a flower exhibition. The flowers there were extraordinary, some I have never seen before, some I have seen and always loved.
It always fills me with a sense of amazement and joy to be close to nature. I need to be honest and tell you that the idea of cutting flowers from a plant doesn't sit well on me and yet when I see some in my room it has the power to refresh my mind and spirit. Flowers have this divine quality about them to rejuvenate your whole being, it doesn't matter if they are wild flowers or cultivated beauties.
I wish I could just grab a pallet and knife in hand and start creating flowers at will. Even painted flowers have the power to refresh your thoughts and make you feel happy. I guess I'll might do this as soon as I am able to hold a pallet in hand, grab a knife in the other and paint without judging myself. I hope these images I share here with you will refresh your mind and spirit as much they do for me.
If just one flower has the power to lift up your spirits imagine what stretches of flowers can do to you. The poem 'Daffodils' by the high priest of nature William Wordsworth always leaves me with clear and amazing images in my mind when I experience what he calls "the bliss of solitude."
"Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance." By William Wordsworth
Every time I see the fields full of flowers in springtime I wanna dance like one of those flowers myself and believe that no one is watching.
If breaking out into dance is an expression of sublime emotions flowers are the expression of divinely grace on the Earth I would think. The kind of energy scenes such as the one above bring is electrifying. It tends to elevate one's soul to another level of peace and tranquility.
Colors are known to affect mood directly, however, the colors of flowers combined with their fragrance, textures and, beauty have the power to swirl you around in a vortex of intense joy. This may not happen to those who do not appreciate nature, but to most of us who enjoy nature such scenes are not just a feast to the eyes but to the entirety of our senses.
The Sight of flowers is enough to make your mind drift away from the harness of reality. Who needs amphetamines and mind altering drugs to enjoy such intense pleasure, all you need is a bunch of flowers to give wings to your thoughts to fly past the realities of life into the pleasant world of dreams and imagination.
Strange looking flowers and fruits
Most of us need a break once in a while from the toxic world we live in, the break may not always come in the form of a holiday which physically shifts you to another place. Just a piece of nature can lift our mind and transport us into another realm without any major effort physical or monetary from our side.
You just need to close your eyes to be transported to this destination each time you need a break. Digital images like these may offer a glimpse of the paradise you saw to others, but you really don't need these to be transported from this moment in time to another moment of beauty you enjoyed.
I believe the eye is the best photographer of all. What the eye sees the camera can never capture. The eye sees just the scene in front of it, but the other senses work in tandem to make the experience complete. The perfect moment is created when all senses are in action.
Yet it is not okay to devalue these digital images, they can trigger off certain feelings instantly even when you least expect it. Even coming across a picture accidentally could end in some kind of spiritual teleportation.
For me these visual images stored in my mind are great stress busters. I often take myself to these places mentally and relive these memories to get through moments of intense stress.
Flowers often aid me to escape the worries of this world and spend moments of pure, unadultrated pleasure which is mentally, physically and spiritually rejuvenating.
Thanks for hanging out with me this far, I appreciate your time and support. Have an amazing day!
