Life can be bittersweet and sometimes sour; we encounter numerous emotions as we carry on with our disparate lives. When we want to escape those deep feelings of sensation, the mountains will always wait for us and embrace us with their breathtaking scenery.
Hello, lovely people. It’s me again, .
Today, we explore the mountain areas of Naga, Cebu, and the stunning Mt. Naupa. If some of you have read my previous blog, you would know that I love spontaneous trips, and again, this is not a planned trip. The night before the trip, we just had this feeling of wanting to witness the sunrise above the mountains, and the nearest beautiful mountain we can find starting from our municipality is Mt. Naupa.
I am a nocturnal type of person; I feel most alive at night, so on this hike, I did not have any sleep, and I do not recommend it to anyone. At 2 am, we had already left home and hit the road; we had just stopped at a nearby store to get some necessities.
On the way there, when we entered the street, the road was pitch black, and only the headlight from the motorcycle gave the road a tiny bit of light. I would not lie; it was kind of scary, even if I am very fond of late-night drives, but it did not stop us from proceeding.
Long story short we already needed to start the trek it was a rocky journey and the route to there was something new to me (take note that I am very weak in terms of hiking I have very poor endurance as well as breathing.) and I lost count of how much I tripped and almost fell at the edge.
When we are already on the top you can tell that the time has stood still the tranquility that envelopes you like a soft fabric touching your skin is on a different level.
As the rays of the sun start to arise from the mountain the light it gives illuminates the scenery on top. The sea of clouds hugs you with a cold embrace and the sky is now painted bright yellow and a touch of orange. No matter how many times we see these various colors that the sunrise shows us it never fails to bewitch us and continues to fascinate our soul.
While sitting there and admiring the exquisite beauty of the place I met a friendly dog who sat beside me and also stopped and stared at the astounding Mt. Naupa.
Aside from witnessing the sunrise, the feeling of reconnecting to nature is also what we long for, and the accomplishment we made after the seemed impossible trek we just accomplished. So, I sat for an hour and life suddenly slowed down and my eyes couldn’t get away from the mountains; they are beautiful and could take your breath away aside from the long trek (HAHAHAHAHAH)
These are some of the moments where we can whisper to ourselves that life is worth living for. The place will remind us that we never really wanted to be gone but all we wished was that life could go easy on us and be gentle.
I can’t stop admiring the place and be thankful to God for all of these. He is surely a great God, I mean just look at these view that he created.
The natural beauty of nature is always remarkable. I would love to recommend this beautiful place to you, my lovely readers, this is a perfect place for camping or just simply chasing the sunrise and sunset. If you feel like life does not make any sense again, know that you can run to the mountains and scream at the top of your lungs.
On our way home, my heart was full of gratitude for life may not be good to me but God is surely good and because of the scenery I witnessed that day, It gives me fuel to keep on paddling with the waves of life.
LAYO PA, PERO LAYO NA. PADAYON, LOVELY PEOPLE!
