Good evening✨
At one point in my life, I was fascinated by Egyptian culture ... Everything that was available to me at the time, I read and imagined how life was then ... How the pyramids were built to survive for so many centuries .... And what is the purpose , tombs or something else ?!
My friend was visiting and sent me a couple of pictures .....
They are still fascinating and beautiful ... The only real picture for me is that they are not surrounded by people, that somehow makes the pyramids accessible to the present.
And they represent all past centuries, and the secrets have not yet revealed only assumptions ...
To me, they are mystical alone in the desert ..... I would like to go see the pyramids at dawn and without crowds ...
The Pyramid of Cheops, built around 2550 BC. e., was built with great precision. Its four sides are almost completely harmonized with the exact direction of north, south, east and west. The difference between the longest and the shortest page is only 20 centimeters. The exterior of the pyramid was covered with gleaming white limestone from the quarry at Tura in the Mukatam Mountains, east of present-day Cairo. To this day, very little of this stone has been preserved. There is some evidence that the top of the pyramid was covered with a gold cover. Inside the pyramid is the King's Chamber, which is located almost in the center of the pyramid. It is exactly twice as long (10.6 m) as its width (5.3 m), and it is 5.9 meters high and has a flat ceiling. The lower part of the ceiling is made of nine granite blocks, each of which weighed 40 tons..
Cheops' sarcophagus, made of red granite, cannot be removed because it is slightly wider than the entrance to the chamber, which shows that the pyramid was built around the sarcophagus. Although his name is written above the King's Chamber, there is no other trace of Cheops in the Great Pyramid, because the tomb robbers stole his mummy. The only statue known to represent him is a small ivory sculpture found in ruins about a hundred kilometers south of the pyramid.
I have now seen at least a part of the beauty and to visit this part of the world once ... And maybe in the meantime another secret will be revealed....
Thank you very much for visiting my blog 🤗
Have a nice evening ✨✨✨
