It's been wet and windy these past few days. The days are still warm, but now there is a freshness in the air. A lightness to it. As the heaviness of the last few weeks has began to dissipate.
The wind has howled these last few nights, catching the soil and blowing it up into your face. It feels refreshing, I feel alive. I love the sounds, that the earth makes. When you get small glimpses into her power.
The trees have been dropping their fruits and seeds. Creating magical pathways, that call to you. I feel it is important, that we get out and feel the force of it. The wind whipping past you. The sound of the trees croaking, as they bend. I love how it howls right up the dry river bed, that I am living next to. The sound of the wind moving around the trees. It's invigorating.
I got to meet, one of the oldest trees in the area yesterday. Over a thousand years old. These photos, don't do it justice. It would take at least 6 people to embrace, hands just touching. It took my breath away. The sheer beauty, of this majestic Olive tree. The tree of peace.
It felt good to stand with it and allow it to magnify, the love I felt and send out into the world. Peace, is what is needed now. Finding it within our ourselves, to expand our hearts. To move past this call to take sides, this division that has been so craftily created.
To begin to focus on the world you wish to live in, so that you can begin, to create it. To step past the distractions and find the things that inspire and nurture you. Like standing in the shade of this majestic elder.
I could feel its energy coarse through me. Recharge me. It called to me. To place my hands on it's trunk and breathe. Full breaths, that deepen my connection. As the wind howls around me.
