Today, is my day of our 6 week experiment of living on a farm in Medellin, Colombia.
After a typical breakfast , of arepa with cheese and a delicious coffee & fruit, we drove up to the farm β around and hour and a half away from the city.
Along the way up we were greeted by the sight of stunning mountains, capped with clouds. I see the mountains almost like wild animals that the locals domesticate and put a saddle on top of β¦ or, more plainly, roads, so we can ride on their backs.
Since it can be warm and we intend to work on the farm, we stopped to buy sleeves to protect our arms from too much sun exposure or mosquitoes.
At the farm entrance, we were greeted with this glorious sight β freshly-painted gate and blooming flowers.
Since last I was here, 6 months ago, our little farm house has come a long way, so that now we can spend the night: with functional bathrooms and a little kitchenette.
We laid out our groceries for the week and sat down for our first lunch⦠exciting!
As we were sitting outside, enjoying the scenic view and pure mountain air, we saw an eagle land on a nearby tree π¦
I hope you enjoyed this virtual tour of our new home/life experiment and that you will tune in for future updates as we explore farm living π€
