My daughter is at home due to teachers' protest. I respect their hard work and kindness so nothing to complain for the situation. I decided to spend a relaxed morning time with my daughter.
One of ... or two of my daughter's pants had a hole on right knee (as always!) and needed repair. I asked her how can I repair them. She wanted to have a bird as birds are something really big for her right now. She knows away more birds than I do ... 🦆🦆🦆
We selected fabric from my fabric box and I made a pattern roughly.
I've never done multi fabric appliqué before but it wasn't difficult. Just attaching an appliqué to kids' pants with slim legs 😅
I wish she can where this pant for this spring/summer with the bird appliqué. I'll repair another one by darning 👖

今日は子どもの先生たちがストとのことで、朝から子どもが家にいます。ストはかなり突然起きますが、いい先生たちなので文句は言えません。
そんなこんなで子どもとのんびり過ごすことにしました。あいにくの雨降りで風邪が治りかけの子どもを外に連れ出すのもなあということで家でできることを考えました。
子どものズボンに穴があいていたので一緒に図案を決めて、布を選んで修理しました。鳥です。。この1、2ヶ月鳥が大好きで大好きで私よりもいろいろ知っています 😅 一度公園でお昼を食べた時にパンくずを食べに小さいかわいい鳥が集まってきたのがうれしくて大好きになったようです。
複数布を使うアップリケをつけるのは初めてでしたが、アップリケそのものはそこまで難しくありませんでした。ただ、子どもの細いズボンにつけるのには毎度苦労します。筒を覗き込むようにしてミシンをちょこちょこ動かして縫い付けました。
型紙があるし、今後またズボンに穴が開いて「鳥つけて」と言われた時にさくっとつけられそうです。羽の向きを変えると枝に止まっている鳥みたいにもなりかわいらしいです。
さてさて、古い家を返して新しい家にようやく完全に移って、来週からは針仕事の月曜日に復帰できそうです。
