I'm happy to post to Needlework Monday after a while. It'll be a short one as my daughter's kindergarten is closed for summer holidays.
Recently I got a pullover from my partner. It was shrunk after few times of wash and has holes on elbows and under arms. He thought about throwing it away when he tidied up his room.
I was happy to get it. It's my size, it's not difficult to repair and I have a pullover for upcoming autumn/winter 😊
I went to buy a pair of arm patches and embroidery thread. I closed holes on under arms and attached the patches roughly. I'll attach the patches with blanket stitches this week after I finish my work ... or while I'm playing with my daughter in the daytime.
I like the light brown-gray color combination. I look forward to wearing the pullover in autumn and winter.
先日相方が部屋を片付けていて見つかったセーターをもらいました。
洗濯で縮んで（ウールのセーターを洗濯機に入れるのがすごい・・・）、脇の下に穴が開いて、ひじが擦れて穴が開いてかわいそうな状態でしたが、縮んで私にぴったりの大きさだったこともあり、もらって直すことにしました。
脇の下の穴はそこまで大きくないので同じ色の糸でふさいで、ひじには肘当てを買ってきました。合わせてみるとなかなかいい感じでニヤッとしました。夏休みの子どもと遊びながら、肘当てをしつけ糸で仮止めして、あとはブランケットステッチで縫いつけるのみ。
今年の秋冬に着られるセーターが一枚増えてうれしいです 😊
