I went to get my third booster shot today. Though I had an appointment on a certain time, I had to wait outside on a long line ... The line got even longer when I went inside the building.
Somehow I thought there might be a line so I brought my sock knitting bag along to spend waiting time.
One unexpected thing was that I had to wait outside. It wasn't as smooth as usual to knit with gloves.
Overall thanks to my handy project, I could spend waiting time with peaceful feeling by seeing the color and knitting my new socks.
I like to have different size of projects: handy socks to knit everywhere, heavy sweater to knit at home and so on. Socks is a nice project to have always. I make socks easily worn out in 2-3 years and even if I have excess pairs of socks, I can give them to friends and family.
I recommend you to start knitting a socks. So many reasons to start one this season (handy, colorful, relatively easy, warm & useful ... 😁).
Where are sock knitters on Hive??? I think I saw more sock knitting projects on Needle Work Monday last years 🧦 🧶

今日、3回目のブースターショットを受けに行きました。予約していたのに外で長い行列に並びました・・・。私が建物の中に入る頃には列はさらに長くなっていました 😱
なんとなく行列ができていそうな気がしたので、靴下バッグを持って行きました。大正解。編み物しながら、本の読み上げを聴きながら時間を過ごせました。でも外で待たなければいけなかったのは予想外で、手袋をしたままではやや編みにくかったです。
とはいえ靴下毛糸の明るい色を見ながら、新しい靴下を編みながら待ち時間を穏やかな気分で過ごすせました。
私は、どこでも編める靴下、家で編むセーターなど、いろいろなサイズのプロジェクトをかかえているのが好きです。中でも、携帯性がいい靴下はいつも編みかけていたいプロジェクトです。靴下は2～3年で履きつぶしてしまいますし、余った靴下は友人や家族にあげたりしています。
靴下を編んでみてはどうでしょう。この季節に靴下を編み始める理由はたくさんあります。便利、カラフル、比較的簡単、暖かい＆便利などなど ... 😁
ちなみにリュックの横のポケットに軽く収まるくらい靴下は小さいです。
