I'm excited to post again in this community, 😃 I wanted to have a bucket hat for a while but I wanted to make it myself.

For which I had to document myself, that is, search for ideas on the internet and watch at least two videos to know how to do it.

The idea of ​​taking my measurements had me hesitant because I wasn't sure I was taking them correctly, but I got a video that had the measurements on the patterns and I took them as a guide. Then I measured the contour of my head and it fit very well. ☺️

Another detail is that I lacked fabric to make my project. I used a piece of fabric left over from a skirt I had made and had to figure out the other fabric, so I took a piece of clothing from my husband that I didn't wear much anymore and used it to make the other part of my hat.

First mark the measurements on a piece of paper and then mark them with chalk on the fabric, then I cut the fabric leaving a centimeter of space.

Estoy emocionada de volver a publicar en esta comunidad, 😃 hace un tiempo he querido tener un sombrero pescador pero lo quería realizar yo misma. 🪡🧵

Para lo cual tuve que documentarme, es decir buscar ideas en internet y ver al menos dos vídeos para saber cómo hacerlo.

La idea de tomarme las medidas me tenía indecisa pues no estaba segura de tomarme las bien, pero conseguí un vídeo que tenía las medidas en los patrones y los tome como guía. Luego medio el contorno de mi cabeza y si encajó muy bien. ☺️

Otro detalle es que me faltaba tela para hacer mi proyecto. Utilicé un retazo de tela que me quedaba de una falda que había hecho y tuve que ingeniarmelas con la otra tela, así que agarre una prenda de mi esposo que ya no usaba mucho y la utilice para hacer la otra parte de mi sombrero.

Primero marque las medidas en un papel y luego las marque con una tiza en la tela, posteriormente corté la tela dejando un centímetro de espacio.

To make this cute bucket hat, I had to pin all the parts together, hand sew, and then sew. So I did this process twice, then I joined the two layers.

Para hacer este lindo sombrero pescador, tuve que unir todas las partes con alfileres, coser a mano y luego coser. Hice este proceso dos veces pues, luego uni las dos capas.

Aquí estoy yo probandome una de las capas cosida con una basta simple. 🤭

Once I had the two parts ready, I sewed them along the edge, placing the two right sides facing each other.

Una vez que tuve las dos partes lista las cosi por la orilla, colocando los dos lados derechos enfrentados.

Leave a small opening to get the fabric through and then rest the edge of the hat all the way around and seal the previous opening.

Deje una pequeña abertura para sacar por allí la tela y luego repose el borde del sombrero por todo el contorno y así sellé la abertura anterior.

This is how my hat turned out, 😃 although I know I can improve, I'm happy with the result because for the first time I've made one, I think it turned out very well and flirty. ☺️

Así quedó mi sombrero, 😃 aunque se que puedo mejorar, estoy contenta con el resultado pues para ser la primera vez que hago uno, considero que quedó muy bien y coqueto. ☺️☺️
