Hey Crafters :-)
A while ago I got myself a little mint plant, for I really wanted to have something green and growing in my van :-)
But in a car, there are limited options, where to put a plant, so I crocheted a basket, to hang it up on one of the hooks, where you usually would put a jacket.
First, I started with the bottom and crocheted a spiral. When it had about the same size as the flowerpot, I ended the spiral with a slip stitch and made another slip stitch round, to get a nice look.
Then I went on with the double crochet stitch, all the way up, until the wall was high enough to hold the flowerpot.
I ended the basket with a nice decorative edging, I don't know how to call it, it's this (bit old fashioned) one where you just jump over one or two stitches with a few chain stitches, to get a "wavy" look. It's hard to explain, maybe you can see it in the picture below ^^
Anyway, this is good to have a place to fix the cord.
My crocheting is usually very intuitive, without any instructions.
It may be not perfect in the end, but that is what I love about crocheting, if you know the basics, you can be incredibly creative!
Well, this is my first post about crocheting and I'm still learning the English words for all the stitches, hope I got it about right :-)
