Hello and welcome to another art and sewing blog post with me 🧵😊 I'd love to know you're having an amazing day, God willing. This time, we're going to be transforming a pair of women's casual shorts into an exotic and beautiful summer swimsuit that you might need these days. I decided to transform some old clothes I have at home that I don't use anymore, giving them a second life and allowing me to use them in a different way. I don't go to the beach all the time, but I always remember my mom telling me that you should always have something "just in case," something you might need if a spontaneous trip comes up. So, without further ado, here's the transformation process. I hope you like my work, made with love for you all.

Pasos a seguir: | Steps to follow:
Paso 01
Step 01
For the first step, we're going to locate the Bermuda shorts and completely unpick them so that we have the individual pieces already unstitched. This way, we can find a measurement that we have as a reference. I've used a top of yours and a pair of shorts. Now we're going to cut our shorts from the top piece of the Bermuda shorts and the pieces that are left over from the bottom of the top.
Paso 02
Step 02
We proceed to sew the crotch of the shorts, both the front and back parts, using a straight stitch and an overlock (zigzag) stitch. Then we sew the side pieces and, if desired, we will place an elastic band along the side, stretching it well so that it gathers this part of the hip where the shorts sit. Next, we will sew the waistband to the sides and pin it around the entire circumference of the shorts at the waist, then sew it in place.
Paso 03
Step 03
Next, we will sew the edge and the 2 cm wide hem. Then we will place the cups on the top with the square front pieces and also place the square lining pieces of the top so that the cups are inside both fabrics so that it looks double. We will hold them with pins around the perimeter to sew the side seams.
Paso 04
Step 04
I sewed the top along the sides and hemmed it. Then I sewed a ring along with the top fabric on the front. I did this with great patience since this step is somewhat complicated; I was trying not to break the needle with all the turns I made. It took me some time to do it, but in the end, the results look incredible. I then added a cord made of the same fabric, and with that, I finished it.
