Good afternoon my dear needle lovers, I hope you're having an amazing time. A few days ago I was finishing this beautiful veil, but I was missing what I would say is the most important thing: the comb where the veil is held in place, or the base. But a friend gave me one this morning! Last night she let me know she had one because I asked her, since she has many things she doesn't use and I thought maybe she could have one that would work for this veil I was making, which, by the way, is for my wedding 🤭.
I'll tell you that before making it, I thought it would be a good idea to buy it, but the prices were very high, and with my budget, it really wasn't feasible. So, being a good seamstress, I decided to make it myself. I feel that when you make things for yourself, they have much more significance, especially if it's for your wedding. I'd love for you to join me in making it; you'll really enjoy the process.

Pasos a seguir: | Steps to follow:
Paso 01
Step 01
I started by folding the tulle fabric in half, making it 1.70 cm long. If you want to make it longer, that's up to you. I wanted mine to reach halfway down my torso. Once folded, we'll round off the edges. I'll place this veil doubled without cutting it, but the top piece, the one we'll leave on top, will be shorter than the bottom one. Okay, after rounding the edges, we'll sew on the pearls before sewing it completely. For this, we'll use clear nylon.
Paso 02
Step 02
We move on to the next step, which is to place the ribbon on the edge of the veil. We will place the ribbon all along the edge and sew it with a straight stitch. Remember to cut off any excess tulle edges left after sewing.
Paso 03
Step 03
I noticed that I needed to sew more pearls onto the veil in some areas where it was necessary. If you're like me, don't worry, you can add more pearls wherever you see that it's needed to fill in empty spaces, as happened to me. Next, we're going to cover the top of the comb with strips of the same tulle fabric, wrapping them one by one between the teeth of the comb and adjusting them well. As we wrap them, we sew with a needle and thread using double transparent nylon thread. This prevents any cotton thread we use from showing through, which is why we use transparent thread. We sew until we reach the very end and then sew to secure the thread and the stitch to prevent it from coming undone.
Paso 04
Step 04
Finally, we will position the veil from the front to the outside of the comb and sew it again with transparent thread without sewing the front piece of my veil; with this we finish it.
