Hey how are you #needleworkers I hope you are preparing your nice and hot coffee and your bread because on the news they told us that here in our country Venezuela winter will soon begin, yes winter oh my God 😱that is incredible winter for this time let's say it arrived sooner than we think, commonly at this time some drizzles fall so that some of the fruits in this season finish ripening and fall but that is the exception because now it will rain for a while surely in the place where you live the rains will not begin but don't worry because they will begin soon 🌧️just these days around here where I live which is the eastern part of the country the first drizzles are already beginning to fall and although it is somewhat stifling heat the cold at night is felt a little.
Thinking that I get very cold especially from the afternoon onwards and that is when it rains the most in winter I have decided to make for the first time a sweater with a somewhat thick fabric that feels warm to cover myself, I think to use it over some shirts so I feel less cold, I tell you that today I went out determined to find a fabric that would suit me in the fabric scrap store and for a while I had my eye on one that was there when I went to buy it and I was so happy, I tell you that the truth is I did not have enough because there were only 70 cm of fabric so I decided to buy another scrap of flannel type fabric to make a combination between both colors since they were somewhat serious.
I didn't have in mind what model to make but as the Pinterest app offers you many models and ideas for you I decided to look for one that I could combine the fabrics I had, to my surprise I found one that I liked a lot, it is a two-color model with a heart in the center with a cut in the middle and the colors are inverted both the sleeve and the bust pieces, I loved this model so I said don't think about it anymore Anni and let's cut this model, here I share with you the process of how I made it, I hope you like it too, below I show you the materials.

Pasos a seguir://Steps to follow:
Paso 01
Step 01
We will start cutting the corresponding pieces of the sweater for this I used a shirt that is too loose for me since these sweaters are somewhat loose to the body then as they are two colors the front pieces I will then cut two front pieces of both colors gray and navy blue then I marked with the sewing chalk the neck of the sweater and cut it to get the shape of the front of the neck, I cut the other pieces like sleeves with the owner of both colors as well and I cut the bias of the neck waistband below the waist the width of your waist with 1 cm more for the seam and the length of this is 12 cm, I also cut the pieces of the heart in front and the back piece of the back waistline.
Paso 02
Step 02
We will then join the front pieces in the center to form the front piece. Before sewing the other pieces, I recommend that once the front part is ready and you want to add the design, you better sew the design only with the front piece so that it will be much easier for you to sew it. Then we will sew or join the heart in the middle and sew it around the entire contour so that the design does not stretch too much since the fabrics stretch a little.
Paso 03
Step 03
We will place some pins in the heart so that we can sew it to the front piece and sew it over with a straight seam, we will sew the shoulder part of the sweater, we open the armhole piece and we will sew the sleeves to the armhole, placing a pin beforehand so that the fabric does not roll down, we close and sew along the sides to seal the sweater.
Paso 04
Step 04
After we seal the sides, I proceed to sew the square part of the cuffs. Then we sew them down the sides and fold them so we have both cuffs.
Paso 05
Step 05
Finally, I sewed the cuffs around the sleeve at the inside of the wrist and reinforced the seams I made with an overlock using a straight stitch so that our thread doesn't stretch or break. Then, we'll sew the waistband under the sweater's bodice. Of course, we'll join the neck bias. We fold it over and sew from the inside out. Then, we topstitch with a straight stitch to finish this sweater.
