To tell you the truth, it's a very pretty swimsuit that I made. I had already made two swimsuits, and it was time to make one in a different color and design. This burgundy color I used for the swimsuit fascinated me ☺️🥺 I fell in love with it, and although at first I couldn't see the shape of the swimsuit when I was sewing it, I said, "No, this isn't going to stop me from practicing making swimsuits since I have some clients who would be interested in ordering these types of garments to go to the beach." So, I had the opportunity to make this lovely swimsuit with some fabric I had saved, if you only knew! I hope you like it 🥰👙.

I started by taking the pieces and placing them on the smooth surface to support them and make the cut correctly. In this case, I will use the patterns of this swimsuit design that I wanted and had saved. I cut the 3 cm wide strips all by the length to be used. Then I cut the top pieces, in this case two, then the double back piece, and the panty pieces, in this case leaving excess on the sides to insert the strips. I left it and that's it.

The second step is simple, we're going to join the front pieces. Since I cut the swimsuit pieces the same way for the lining, we'll put some pins on each piece so it stays in place and doesn't slip while sewing. Then we'll sew the elastic to the armhole, the back, and the chest. I sew it to the inside along the left edge with a straight stitch, then fold it over, still on the inside, and sew over the fold with a zigzag stitch.

After sewing the edge of the top, we sew the front piece to the inside and leave the facings where we will place the straps to gather this front piece, then we will sew the panty at the bottom, then the hem of the sides respecting the margin of the side pieces.

Finally, we sew the straps and the separate bands on the panty, then we finish with a zigzag stitch again at the waist without tightening the elastic properly, and in this way it would be finished.
