Good afternoon, friends! Thank you for reading once again and visiting my little corner of sewing projects. Thank you for your time as well. Today we'll make a pretty scarf with fabric scraps or whatever you have on hand. Sometimes we don't have enough fabric and we want to make something, but you know we can solve problems here. So we'll make a scarf by joining the same fabrics so that it's complete. That's how I made it since I didn't have enough fabric.
Si gustas apreciar como lo he hecho te invito a que me acompañes a ver los materiales que usamos y el proceso que es muy sencillo te sorprenderá.
If you'd like to see how I did it, I invite you to join me in looking at the materials we used and the process, which is very simple and will surprise you.
Materiales: | Materials:
- 50 cm de tela (no stretch)
- Máquina de coser
- Tijeras
- Hilo
- Cinta métrica
- Tiza de costura
- 50 cm of fabric (non-stretch)
- Sewing machine
- Scissors
- Thread
- Measuring tape
- Tailor's chalk
Pasos a seguir: | Steps to follow:
Paso 01
Step 01
We begin simply by measuring our scarf. In this case, our scarf has the same measurements; it's a square 45 cm wide x 45 cm wide. Since I didn't have enough fabric to cut the entire square, what I did was, as I mentioned, join both pieces of fabric and sew them in the center. So, before marking the centimeters with chalk, I cut both halves, adding 2 cm for the seam allowance. So, on each half, we cut the rectangles in half, 26.50 cm long, adding the seam allowance on each side. We mark the width measurement, which is 45 cm, and the length, 25.50 cm, and make a point where the measurement ends to guide us.
Paso 02
Step 02
We will take a pin and join the pieces that we are going to sew together. I passed a straight stitch and then a zigzag stitch so that it would not be visible. We will do this to join our rectangles.
Paso 03
Step 03
It's time to hem the edge of my scarf. The hem is very small, so I'll be sewing it 1 cm wide. We'll start at the ends of the scarf and work our way to the other end. We'll lift the presser foot of the machine to continue sewing on the other side.
Paso 04
Step 04
This is how you can see how we've sewn the parts where the bias tape wasn't sewn before. The scarves with small bias tape are very original and pretty. Once I finish sewing, it's ready to use.

I tried it on and it looks great, it fit me perfectly. Of course, if you want to make them in other colors and make them larger, just add 5 centimeters to the pattern you would use. Let me know if you liked how to make your own sports bandanas. I really liked it because I made it in black, which is my favorite color, and I can combine it with other clothes. With this, I say goodbye. I enjoyed sharing this idea with you. Greetings, friends, see you soon! 🥰😎🖤
