¡Hola amig@s costureros de #needleworkmonday bienvenidos a un espacio creativo de costura!.
Hello sewing friends of #needleworkmonday, welcome to a creative sewing space!
Hello my loves, it is a pleasure and a pleasure for me to greet you, and I am very happy that you have taken some time to read my blog once again, which is based on sharing tips, ideas and creations from the wide world of sewing, I have the opportunity to show you a pair of pants that I really didn't like how they looked at the waistband precisely because it was very thick and it didn't fit me well, the truth is I measured it about three times and it didn't convince me so I said why go around in circles, let's give it a simple transformation to the waistband, I say simple because on the surface it is but once I got into unstitching the seams it became so difficult that my neck hurt from having it reclined in a position to unstitch the seams of the pants, we will also change the bottom part but we will use the inside of the fabric which is jeans only that it is turned inside out.

You won't need to use many tools to take apart the pants. Just one: the thread cutter. You can use a seam ripper or a blade to make the job much easier. Before moving on to the process, remember to have the following on hand:
• Seam ripper
• Sewing machine
• Thread
• Pins
• Tape cutter
Pasos a seguir: | Steps to follow:
Paso 01
Step 01
We will start mainly as I told you by unstitching what is the part of our waistband along the edge separating the waistband from the pants.
Paso 02
Step 02
Once we finish separating the waistband, we remove any excess thread that may be left when unstitching it. Then we unstitch the union of the waistband and the elastic to fix it as well, because at each end it was coming loose and it was somewhat difficult over time to stretch it and stretch it as much as possible. We also unstitch the bottom pieces of the pants since these are like jogger type and the pants have that stretch style.
Paso 03
Step 03
Once I unstitched the bottom part of each leg at the edge, as you can see in the picture, we open the pieces and unstitch them and inwards we sew 1 cm because in my case these pieces are wide at the foot and when it is like this you only add 1 cm, you also sew them from the sides at the hip if it is too wide it is also a matter of always measuring the garments once they are made, with pins we hold these pieces before sewing them so that they do not fold.
Paso 04
Step 04
Finally we are going to place these pieces on each leg of the pants and sew the edge with a zig zag stitch, to give it a good finish, then we are going to do the same with the waistband, place pins and sew around the outline before sewing it with the pins, sew the edge then place the waistband on the pants as seen in the image, sew then sew it directly to the pants along the edge, so the waistband is ready.

And well friends, this is how the final results look like before with the waistband turned upside down. All I had to do was insert the cord that goes around the waist with the ribbon loop to prevent the pants from falling down. This way, we come to the end of the blog, my dear friends. I wish you a beautiful day tomorrow and see you soon ❤️.
