Hello! My dear and cherished sewing family of this beautiful community 🤗 I hope you enjoyed your day. We're almost at the weekend, and it seems like the days are flying by, and I'm not getting better 🤭 I've been a little under the weather these past few days, but that hasn't stopped me from picking up my machine and sewing in my spare time. I feel like sewing is a form of therapy for me, a way to forget a little about all the bad things I'm going through mentally, especially when negative thoughts invade my mind. Something that helps me minimize them a bit is sewing. Ever since I discovered I was good at it—well, almost good, because I'm still learning—I feel like you never stop learning something because there's always something new to learn about what you love. That's why I feel like I'm almost good, because I'm surprised when I learn something new and try to put it into practice. But I always remember the words of a teacher who said, "Practice makes perfect," and boy, is that ever since I started learning. I feel like I still have so much to learn about this world of sewing, but we're getting there, step by step. And at my own pace ☺️.
I'm almost always surprised when clients entrust their process, their ideas, and their dreams to me. What do I mean by that? You might be wondering... Well, if I'm referring to choosing the dream design for a client's garment, these kinds of comments really encourage me because it would be difficult for me to entrust that to someone I want to make a garment for the first time. But even so, my beautiful clients do it, and it's something I really appreciate because they've trusted me from the very beginning, without knowing how their garments will turn out and with little experience when it comes to garments I haven't made before. But hey, you learn from your mistakes along the way, and that's something sewing has taught me a little. At first, I didn't believe in it, but I had to experience it to know that it's true. Since my clients have given me that power to trust that I'll always make their garments exactly as they dream, nothing can stop me! Hahaha 🤣 It's a joke, really, but there are times when it's simply a little too big and adjustments are needed. But nothing a machine, needle, and thread can't fix. It happened to me with this swimsuit. I still don't know if it will fit my client well, but here it is. I'm showing the creative process, in another tutorial I'll remind you if she liked it or not 🤭😅 but I definitely loved it.

Paso 01
Step 01
The first step is to cut the corresponding pieces; in this case, the front pieces of the top and the shorts pieces. In this case, we will use a double front piece, so we will cut two pieces from the front piece. We cut the straps; in this case, 5, four for the shorts and one for the top. We cut the straps from the top and finally the double back piece of the top and our waistband for the shorts. These are the corresponding pieces to use for making the swimsuit.
Paso 02
Step 02
First we're going to sew the pieces of the shorts' crotch seams, each one in its place. We sew the crotch seam and the back piece, which is a single piece, should be in the middle of the two front pieces. We sew along the edge of the sides of the shorts; in this case, I did it with an overlock stitch. We also sew the leg part, that is, the edge for the hem.
Paso 03
Step 03
Next, we sew the hem, then we join the side pieces, that is, we seal the shorts, leaving an excess of 1.5 cm to fold over and insert the drawstrings made of the same fabric. Now we sew the drawstrings for the top and shorts together.
Paso 04
Step 04
We sew the top straps as well and we're going to place the side seams inside the shorts, we insert the drawstrings on each side and sew the waistband to the shorts folded in half, then we sew the front pieces of the top as well as we sewed the shorts so that there is no visible seam between the front and back pieces, then we sew the edge of the top, we sew the front in the same way as the shorts on the sides to insert the drawstring and finally we sew the straps to the front and back of the top.

And so our garment is finished! I hope you liked it as much as I did, and hopefully my client will too. I think she will; she always loves what I make for her 🤭 What do you think? I wish you a good night, a restful sleep, and see you tomorrow 👋🏻🥰.
