!!Saludos apreciados amigos #needlewokers ¡¡.. Bienvenidos a un blog de costura 🌷🧵.| Greetings dear friends #needlewokers !!.. Welcome to a sewing blog 🌷🧵
A few days ago I was going through my skirts that I wear to special gatherings on Sundays and I remembered that there was one in particular that I had made but curiously it started to fit loose. I think that the fabric being imported wool stretched a little every time I washed it so it occurred to me as usual to transform it into a more formal style because it wasn't that it wasn't but it has pleats which I think since I have a chubby body it wasn't good for me to wear. Besides, the fabric is a little heavy and it would fall down so the only option I had was to transform it into a simple but at the same time elegant one that would fit my body well and mold to my waist.
So to transform it I would like to invite you to the process I know you will like the results as much as I do 😍🖤🪡.

Pasos a seguir: | Steps to follow:
Paso 01
Step 01
I started by unstitching the entire skirt as such and in the waistband part, which we are going to keep, I cut 4 cm because that was the amount that was left wide, once unstitched I ironed the entire piece of the skirt and used a basic cut skirt pattern glued and I will be folding the fabric starting with the back piece that already has the zipper located, I just folded and placed the pattern on top and began to cut the pieces, I cut the front part and lowered the drop by 1 cm so as is the pattern it already has the centimeters of seam added.
Paso 02
Step 02
On the front piece below from left to right we are going to measure 15 cm with the measuring tape and we are going to make a cut that divides this piece from that distance of centimeters upwards, this with the intention of making my skirt a cut at the knee, you can place it on any side you prefer, both the right and the left, then we are going to be sewing the darts of both pieces, for the front we are going to sew two pieces in the middle of the skirt, both 10-12 cm long, the one for the back piece is 13 cm, then we are going to sew the edge of the cut of the front piece.
Paso 03
Step 03
This is how the piece looks, already sewn around the edges. Now we take it out to join it and I will be leaving the bottom unsewn with a straight seam, a height of 18 cm opening. We make the hems separately from that piece without sewing it inwards. Then we will take our skirt and we will seal both pieces on the inside.
Paso 04
Step 04
Then we sew the hem with an overlock or zigzag stitch, we sew the waistband that we have set aside, sealing the edge that I cut before, we turn it over and sew from the inside out just as we previously sewed the bias of our blouses, then we sew the buttonhole since we removed our button and the buttonhole that it had previously we removed when making the cut, once we sew we finish making the hem at the bottom of the skirt.

Here I show you the results of my skirt and how it looks on 🥰🖤 I really liked the big difference that a transformation makes, I liked how much the skirts look when they are super wide and we remodel them this way with patience and love 🧵.
