¡Hola yo soy Annie! y te doy gracias por visitar mi blog de costura , siéntense bienvenidos.🧵✨|Hi, I'm Annie! Thank you for visiting my sewing blog. Feel welcome. 🧵✨
My wedding dress is in progress and one of the things I wanted to share with you was how to make the lining for the corset that goes inside the dress just under the fabric that goes on top, the transparent floral fabric that is like lace, I chose this fabric because it gives a touch of transparency to the dress and to make the corset stand out more, which is in the shape of a heart on the bust 🤍at first it was very difficult for me to do it but after many failed attempts with my scraps of fabric I learned and put it into practice with the fabrics I had to make precisely this lining, I used a soft, fresh fabric that at the same time had a shape, I got this type of fabric at the store where they sell fabrics with the name "Dracon"🧵.
If you are going to get married and want to make your wedding dress, then this tutorial will fit you like a glove 🤏🏻☺️, because one of the things that I have always said is the most difficult to sew is the corset, that is, the upper bust part of the dresses. In my opinion, this is the part that has been most difficult for me, but with a little patience and practice and many attempts we can achieve it, especially when that feeling of making your own wedding dress is something that nobody can take away from you 🤭and if you want to do it on your own, so if it has been difficult for you to make the lining of the corset for a wedding dress or any dress, do not worry, here with this simple tutorial I will explain how you can do it.

Pasos a seguir: | Steps to follow:
Paso 01
Step 01
First we start by locating the corset patterns that we can make from a shirt or dress and we will only cut up to the bust and waist, after having the patterns on hand I will cut the pieces in the fabric the first piece I cut was the double front 27 cm long then the top of the double bust 19 cm also the same measurement below 10 cm wide always remember to leave your seam centimeters that you will add to said pattern, then we cut the sides of the front bust two pieces equal to the double bust piece these if we make two separately, then we cut four rectangular pieces for the back this is 5 cm lower than the front and the same measurement is kept back, we will do everything as I show you in the photos.
Paso 02
Step 02
After cutting the corresponding pieces of the corset, we will now sew each piece separately on the side edges of the pieces, either with an "overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch." This is to be able to make the folds of each piece when joining them.
Paso 03
Step 03
Once I have sewn all the pieces on the edges it is time to join them with pins and sew inside leaving 1 cm distance from each edge that we have sewn and with a straight seam we join them all, then we open each piece where we pass straight seam and with the help of our pins we will open the edges one to the right and one to the left and we sew two seams also straight one on one side and one on the other, we do this step with the other corresponding pieces.
Paso 04
Step 04
After sewing it we are going to make some cuts with the tip of the scissors inside to be able to open the pieces correctly so that they are not pressed when putting it on, we will now do the same step with the pieces of the back waist part and we will sew them over with a straight seam as well, I have left the corset like this open to then place it under the fabric of the dress on the top part, that is, the fabric that our dress has on the surface, whether it is the one you place on it, I then placed the corset basting it with needle and thread so that you can see how it looks on the back.

Well friends, now you can see our corset already laid out and then sewn by machine. Once we have the closure and the lining of the inside of the dress, we can sew it right on the edge of the corset. On the edge, once I sewed it, I simply made an overclocked seam or with a zigzag, you can do it. In this simple way, I was able to make the corset. I hope this tutorial has been very helpful and productive for you. I say goodbye and see you in another blog of the finished dress ☺️. Greetings my loves 🤍🧵.
