I hope you are doing very well, with lots of health and wellness.
Today I want to share with you a project I did recently, the kind of project that you start it and you need to finish it the same day.
My daughter brought me these days a jeans jacket to be embroidered like mine. She is looking for a design to make it, but, in the meantime, she told me she wanted a flannel embroidered with something simple and, besides, quick.
So I put into practice one of my life mottos: Wanting is power!, and I went out to buy her a flannel to embroider that same day, because when I told her, she wanted to wear it for the first time the next morning.

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un proyecto que hice recientemente, de ese tipo de proyecto que lo empiezas y necesitas terminarlo el mismo día.
Mi hija me trajo en estos días una chaqueta de jeans para que se la bordara como la mía. Ella está buscando un diseño para hacérselo, pero, mientras tanto, me dijo que quería una franela bordada con algo sencillo y, además, rápido.
Así que puse en práctica uno de mis lemas de vida: ¡Querer es poder!, y salí a comprarle una franela para bordársela ese mismo día, pues cuando le comenté, quería estrenársela la mañana siguiente.

And as Monsieur Periné's song that I love goes:

And that's what my daughter has done, fill my heart with flowers and colors so that my sadnesses are light. So seeing some images on the web, I got inspired and embroidered this heart full of flowers and colors for my daughter.
Y como dice la canción de Monsieur Periné que me encanta:
"Con flores te llevaste mi tristeza
con colores
dibujaste la nobleza de la mano
a tu lado creció nuestra ilusión."
Y eso ha hecho mi hija, llenarme el corazón de flores y colores para que mis tristezas sean leves. Así que viendo algunas imágenes en la web, me inspiré y bordé este corazón lleno de flores y colores para mi hija.

It's a simple embroidery, I had to do it this way if I wanted to finish it before midnight so I could go to sleep peacefully (hahaha!).
I simply took the mold of a regular sized heart that would fit on the left side of the flannel, at the bust level.
After transferring it to the flannel, I started embroidering. I started with a back stitch to go around the heart. In some spaces, I embroidered flowers with daisy stitch, some French knot stitches and chain stitches to embroider simple flowers. In this way, I kept changing the threads of different colors and embroidering flowers all around the heart.
Es un bordado sencillo, tenía que hacerlo de esta manera, si quería terminarlo antes de la medianoche para acostarme a dormir tranquila (¡jajaja!).
Simplemente, saqué el molde de un corazón de tamaño regular, que cupiera en la parte izquierda de la franela, a nivel del busto
Después de transferirlo a la franela, empecé a bordar. Inicié con punto atrás para ir bordeando el corazón. En algunos espacios, bordé flores con el punto margarita, algunos puntos de nudo francés y cadena para bordar florecitas sencillas. Así, fui cambiando los hilos de diferentes colores y bordando flores por todo el interior del corazón.

As always, the time I spend embroidering becomes a moment of relaxation for me, and, although I was under a little time pressure, I felt the time flew by and my embroidery took shape in three hours or so. It took me a little while, making the change of threads because I don't have many needles, at the moment. I have to buy many for an upcoming project like this, as it is better to have the needles ready with the different colors to use.
Before going to sleep, my daughter asked me for a picture of the process and she was in love with what she had already done. I was happy to please her and continued embroidering, listening to music, very relaxed. Almost at midnight, I had finished embroidering, ironed the flannel and hung it up for her to find it ready in the morning.
Como siempre, el rato que paso bordando, se transforma en un momento de relajación para mi, y, aunque tenía un poco de presión por el tiempo, sentí que este pasó volando y mi bordado tomó forma en tres horas más o menos. Me tardé un poco, haciendo el cambio de los hilos porque no tengo muchas agujas, en este momento. Tengo que comprar muchas para un próximo proyecto así, pues es mejor tener las agujas listas con los diferentes colores a utilizar.
Antes de irse a dormir, mi hija me pidió foto del proceso y quedó enamorada con lo que ya tenía adelantado. Yo feliz de poder complacerla, seguí bordando, escuchando música, bien relajada. Casi a la medianoche, ya había terminado de bordar, planché la franela y la guindé para que ella la encontrara lista en la mañana.

This embroidered flannel, in one night, was the joy of my daughter, she wore it to work. There my embroidery received many compliments, which pleases me and motivates me to continue embroidering with much love and dedication.
I have been thinking of making a collection of embroidered flannels with simple designs to sell them. If I materialize this desire, you, friends of this community, will be the first to know about it and to see them finished, because I will share them with you here.

Esta franela bordada, en una noche, fue la alegría de mi hija, se la puso para ir al trabajo. Allá mi bordado recibió muchos elogios, lo cual me complace y me motiva a seguir bordando con mucho amor y dedicación.
He estado pensando en hacer una colección de franelas bordadas con diseños sencillos para sacarlas a la venta. Si llego a materializar este deseo, ustedes, amigos de esta comunidad, serán los primeros en saberlo y en verlas terminadas, pues se las compartiré por acá.
