Hello lovely group! Here I'm showing you another one of my projects: a vest made with lace and peach-colored microfiber fabric. Since I had a nice piece of fabric left over, I didn't want to miss the opportunity to make this garment and show you how I did it. Let's go over the materials I used and the step-by-step instructions.
Materiales:/Materials:
- Tela de encaje o blonda de color verde
- Patrón para chaleco
- Hilo
- Tijera
- Tela microdurazno de color verde oscuro
- Green lace fabric
- Vest pattern
- Thread
- Scissors
- Dark green peach-colored micro-fabric
Paso a paso:/Step by step:
Paso 1
Paso 1
I started by folding the fabric towards where it stretches and cut the back and then the front. I also folded the lace fabric and cut two front pieces and finally cut three long strips to make the bias tape.
Paso 2
Paso 2
I started sewing the front part first, joining it with the lace at the front; this is so that the front has a nice detail.
Paso 3
Paso 3
Then I sewed the shoulders and sides.
Paso 4
Paso 4
I'm already adding bias tape all around the edge, both at the neckline and the armhole. After finishing the bias tape, I sewed the hem. Finally, I sewed some strips to put at the front so that, in addition to the lace, it also has ties.
Resultado:/Result:
Look how lovely and elegant it is! It's a very simple garment, but with the lace fabric, it looks so elegant and fashionable. With a little creativity, we can elevate a simple piece. I hope you like it, and I hope my fellow seamstresses take advantage of their large scraps to make beautiful garments... Warmest regards to all.
