Hello fellow sewing enthusiasts! Today I'm going to show you how I made a pencil case that I was asked to make as simple as possible for a school project. They also asked me to make it with recycled materials, and then I remembered I had some leftover fabric from my work overalls. So I got creative and made this pencil case. For the materials I used:
Materiales:||Materials:
- Una braga de obrero
- Tijera
- Hilo
- Alfileres
- Una cinta para decorar
- A pair of work overalls
- Scissors
- Thread
- Pins
- A ribbon for decoration

I started by cutting two rectangles, and that's where I got the idea to cut out the pocket part, since I thought it would look good to use the pocket from the pants part of the underwear as the front of the pencil case.

Since one of the pockets had a Velcro closure, I'm going to use it as a closure for the pencil case, so I located where they were going to go and then sewed them on.

After I had sewn the Velcro closure, I proceeded to sew the pencil case, first the sides and finally the bottom, and that's how we would have a pencil case made so easily.

Since this is a creative pencil case for a school project, a touch of color was essential. I had a very pretty ribbon with flower designs, which I placed around the pencil case, covering the seam of the Velcro closure. Once I sewed the ribbon, the pencil case was ready for the recycling project.
