Hello Hive friends! Today I made a cover for my sewing chair. I finally managed to do it, as I'd wanted to for some time but had no idea how. So today I looked through my scrap box and found several fabrics I liked to combine. For this, I only used stiff fabrics—various types of fabrics that don't stretch.

I had a large piece of this gray fabric, so I used it as the base. I cut a rectangle 40 by 53 centimeters wide and cut two pieces. For the bottom part where you sit, I cut the gray fabric to 40 by 36 centimeters, and cut only one piece. These are the measurements of the chair.

Cut several scraps of other patterned fabrics to make a design on the back of the chair; this decoration will look very colorful.

And since the seat is double-layered, I cut some pieces of fabric to make the other cover, because it will be like a slipcover since the chair has a cushion, and I added a ruffle for more detail. Then I sewed the part made of squares of fabric scraps to the piece of gray fabric I cut earlier. This is the bottom part of the chair.

Now that the bottom part is ready, I'm going to sew it to the back piece along the part that's left open without the ruffle. And finally, I'm going to sew the other part of the back that I hadn't sewn yet.

And so my chair turned out quite colorfully dressed. I'll just have to paint it later. But with this cover, it looks much better than before. And never, ever stop sewing for your home and improving your surroundings... Small changes make a difference... Greetings, friends! Happy end and beginning of the month... Until next time! 🤝🌹
