Hello lovely people
Greetings to you all on this beautiful day, i hope you are all doing great and having a lovely start of tge year, well most of us has actually resume work while some are still enjoying the new year with their family. For me, there are lots of work to be done as school resumes for another term and as you know, most of tge children will need one or two things to be done for them and i promise to share those creativity with you as soon as it is done. Well let's get started with the project of today. Today, i will be sharing with you all this beautiful red gown outfit i made for my sister's friend with ruffle on the chest line and a matching color camisole made to it as inner because it's a lace fabric and it's really transparent.
First thing first, i decided to make the camisole first as it is very simple and easy to make, from the 45 by 60" of satin, i folded it in four as i marked out the neck width and depth, the sholder and armhole circumference then the bust, waist, hip and full length measurement
The lines were connected together and it was cut out with same measurements for the front and back
It was taken to the seeing machine and i sew the front and back together with the side seam allowance while the armhole circumference and the neckline were pipe with bias tape for neat finishing
The camisole was successfully done and i proceeded to the cutting and sewing process of the main fabric
For the main gown outfit, i folded the fabric in two using the hip circumference measurements divide by 4 plus 2" seam and ease allowance then i Marked out the front neckline, shoulder, armhole measurements after which i also marked the bust, waist, hip and full length measurement and it was cut out
I placed the front bodice on another folded fabric to cut out the back part with zipper allowance of 1" at tge back and it was cut out as well
I sew a matching color zipper at the zipper allowance at the back and it was set aside
I cut out 2 long pieces from the lace fabric measuring 6 x 60" it was folded in 2 and sewn together after which it was pleated on the neckline with 2" interval just as seen below and the neck line was pile with a bias tape.
The back was sewn to the front bodice with the side seam allowance and i basic straight long sleeve was also cut out and seen to the armhole circumference.
This is the final and beautiful outcome, i hope you like the simplicity and lovely outcome of this outfit just as my sister's friend was so happy to have it.
