Hello everyone
Happy Monday and beautiful new week to you all my creative friends and members of this great community , I hope you all had a lovely weekend and also prepared for a great and productive week, it is another Monday when we all gather here to showcase our creativity and great work, it is my pleasure to share with you the making of a pouch for my neighbor's wife to complement the outfit I made for her from the remaining pieces of fabric.
Few months ago, I made an outfit for my neighbor's wife who came to visit her husband for the holidays and had come back with her daughters to stay with her husband, we got to be close and she got to know that I make different hand bags, pouch, purse, wallet and many other things with fabrics, she was fascinated by it and desired to have me make her a pouch as well just as I did for my sister some time ago with her left over fabric.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any pieces until few days ago when I came across two small pieces which I thought wouldn't be enough but I decided to join the two pieces together just to get my desired measurement, and fortunately, I made this beautiful pouch with a floral lace to design it
Join me as I take you through the cutting and sewing process
After joining the two pieces together, I measured 12 x 9" with lining and interfacing ironed on the main fabric
I cut out a floral lace of 6 by 5" and sew it to the middle and top stitched on it round
It was folded in two and I curve the edges at the top and I measured 1 x 1" at the bottom and cut it out
I placed a zipper on the top with lining and it was sewn together on both sides
I cut out 2 x 4" of fabric which was folded and sewn together for the handle
I top stitched on the zipper on the right side on both sides and the excess were trimmed off then I sew on both sides as well as the bottom that was cut out
Finally, it was turned to the right side and this is the final and beautiful outcome
My neighbor's wife was to happy to have this matching pouch with her outfit even after I had told her that there was no fabric left from her outfit to make a pouch for her.
I hope you like the beautiful combination of both fabric to make this design of pouch.
